Maya Baumer's practice is centered on antitrust matters, including government investigations, merger review, litigation, and counseling. She has seen clients through all stages of merger review including Hart-Scott Rodino filings, Second Requests, investigational hearings, advocacy, and merger challenges. Maya also has navigated clients through Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice (DOJ), and state attorney general investigations as well as private plaintiff and government litigations. She has represented clients in a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, health care, agriculture, real estate, construction, and technology. She also routinely contributes to antitrust publications and journals.
Additionally, Maya maintains an active pro bono practice focused on supporting domestic violence survivors seeking restraining orders and individuals seeking asylum in the United States. She most recently successfully helped to obtain asylum for an Afghan asylee as well as obtain a restraining order for a survivor of domestic violence.
