Nick Brewer assists clients with all types of disputes. He has extensive experience in international arbitration, commercial litigation, class actions, and regulatory investigations and has acted for clients across the mining, energy, banking, technology, hospitality, shipping, and logistics sectors. Nick also has experience advising on corporate governance issues.
Nick has acted in institutional (International Chamber of Commerce [ICC], Singapore International Arbitration Centre [SIAC], and Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre [HKIAC]), ad hoc, and emergency arbitrations. He has been appointed tribunal secretary in SIAC and in London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) arbitrations.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Nick practiced corporate governance and advised Australian Securities Exchange (ASX)-listed companies on ESG (environmental, social, and governance) issues, including board and committee charters, board remuneration, disclosure obligations, annual general meetings, annual reporting, market practice and emerging trends, stakeholder activism and engagement, as well as Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rule obligations.
Nick has served two secondments at a leading global resources company, and prior to earning his law degree, he lived in Shanghai where he worked in the logistics and marketing industries.
