Dr. Christopher Dorsett's practice focuses on patent prosecution and patent portfolio management in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. His practice includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications, diligence evaluations, and performing patentability, invalidity, and freedom-to-operate analyses.
Christopher has a wide range of technical experiences in the life sciences including, neurobiology, biochemistry, biologics, cell-based therapies, antibody technologies, and machine learning. He has worked with established companies and start-ups.
Christopher holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of North Carolina and a M.S. in biology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to joining Jones Day, Christopher's doctoral work focused on the neural mechanisms underlying visual perception while his master's work involved abnormal neurotransmission following traumatic brain injury. Christopher has coauthored several peer-reviewed publications and presented at international research conferences.
