Thomas's recent experience includes representing Mastercard in its groundbreaking defense in the Merchant Interchange Fee Umbrella Proceedings (the first Umbrella Proceedings in the United Kingdom), alleging that its interchange fees and certain network rules are anticompetitive, and advising on a long-running claim brought under the UNCITRAL 1976 Rules concerning the expropriation of gold mining assets in Kazakhstan.
