Mike Gallagher represents clients in complex litigation in state and federal courts, including trade secrets cases, mass tort litigation, and breach of contract disputes. He has experience drafting pleadings and dispositive motions; taking and defending depositions; managing document collection, review, and production; working with expert witnesses; and drafting appellate briefs.
Mike has represented clients across a wide variety of industries, including the health care, software, credit reporting, oil and natural gas, and metals industries. He was part of a Jones Day team representing Pittsburgh's preeminent health care system in several high-profile commercial disputes. He also has assisted in defending a national pharmacy in nationwide litigation relating to opioid dispensing and distribution and a Fortune 500 technology company against breach of contract claims concerning a complex software development contract.
Mike has researched and written about litigation and other legal risks facing financial institutions that conduct business with public pension plans. He is also an active member of the Pittsburgh Catholic Charities Emerging Leaders Council.
