Abby Oakland represents clients in civil litigation and commercial disputes in state and federal courts and arbitrations. Abby represents clients in a broad range of matters, including business torts, contractual disputes, and medical malpractice. She has experience preparing briefs and motions in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, conducting offensive and defensive discovery, and researching complex legal issues.
As part of her active pro bono practice, Abby has represented clients in a state custody dispute, a federal compassionate release claim, and a federal criminal appeal.
Following law school, Abby served as a judicial law clerk for Judge David S. Doty of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and Judge Julia S. Gibbons of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
