Ashvi Patel is an intellectual property lawyer whose experience includes patent prosecution and litigation that spans various technologies, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, life sciences, and safety and food processing equipment.
Ashvi is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Relying on her technical background, Ashvi has assisted clients with drafting and prosecuting domestic and foreign patents. She has assisted clients with inter partes reviews (IPRs) and post-grant reviews (PGRs) before the USPTO's Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) as well as with Federal Circuit appeals.
Prior to obtaining her law degree, Ashvi leveraged her chemical and biomedical engineering degrees to gain significant industry experience with medical devices and pharmaceutical formulations. Ashvi is a member of the Firm's Women in IP initiative. She also maintains an active pro bono practice involving clemency law in Pennsylvania and the Firm's Border Project, advocating for asylum seekers fleeing violence in their home countries.
