Melissa Privette is a transactional lawyer who focuses her practice on federal tax law, including planning for the tax consequences of mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2023, Melissa worked as a strategy consultant for a management consulting firm. Prior to law school, she was an accountant. During law school, she worked as a research assistant and volunteered for the University of Virginia's Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, which advised local start-ups.
