Aaron Seong's practice centers on advising clients in energy, energy derivatives, and equity derivatives transactions. His experience includes representing corporations, financial institutions, developers, energy marketers, and other market participants in renewable energy transactions, including solar and wind power purchase agreements, virtual power purchase agreements, and methane capture projects. He advises financial institutions, investment funds, and corporations on negotiating and documenting equity derivatives transactions, such as accelerated share repurchases, prepaid variable share forwards, and total return swaps.
As part of his practice, Aaron also seeks to contribute to the development and improvement of industry standard transaction documentation. He was engaged by the International Swaps and Derivative Association (ISDA) to prepare the industry standard U.S. Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) Annex.
