Dr. Wilson Sung is a Registered Foreign Lawyer (PRC) in the Hong Kong Office, and in his 20-year career, he has gained extensive experience in dispute resolution. Wilson has handled numerous disputes covering a wide range of areas, including joint ventures, finance, securities, intellectual property, labor relationships, fraud, and property development transactions. He has conducted arbitrations at the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). He also has advised on the People's Republic of China (PRC) law aspects of mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings involving PRC companies.
Wilson is a regular conference presenter and has spoken at conferences organized by the Hong Kong government on BOT (build-operate-transfer) projects in China and by the Hong Kong Securities Association on PRC securities law in Hong Kong. He is a visiting associate professor of law at Anhui University and an advisor to the M.B.A. program at Nanjing University.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Wilson worked as a judge in Anhui Province and was the manager of the law department of CITIC Securities in Tianjin. In addition, he has been a CIETAC arbitrator since 2004 and also an arbitrator of the Arbitration Center Across Straits (between Taiwan and Mainland China), as well as an independent director of China Auto Motor Financial Company.
