Collin Waring represents real estate investors, funds, developers, REITs (real estate investment trusts), and publicly held companies on a range of commercial real estate transactions. His practice covers acquisitions (including forward purchases), dispositions, joint ventures, recapitalizations, financing (including preferred equity), development, and leasing of commercial and residential properties.
Collin has served as lead counsel for Invitation Homes, guiding its expansion in the growing single-family residential sector, with a focus on developing its build-to-rent portfolio. Over the past few years, he has led single-family residential transactions exceeding $1 billion, helping shift the market from a retail-focused single-family approach to a commercial multifamily model. In addition to Invitation Homes, Collin regularly represents clients such as TriGate Capital, Mill Creek Residential Trust, Morgan Stanley, Stonemont Financial, and several industrial companies, including a portfolio industrial company owned by one of the largest real estate private equity firms in the world.
In addition to Collin's real estate practice, he is a proponent of blockchain and digital assets with a focus towards bringing real-world assets onto the blockchain.
Before attending law school, Collin caddied on the Korn Ferry Tour and maintains a +1 golf handicap index. During law school, he gained experience with the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer.
