James Wood advises private capital participants on a broad range of private equity and funds-related transactions, in particular, complex fund formation and secondaries. He offers clients noteworthy experience in multijurisdictional mandates and is known for his in-depth experience in dealing with international fundraising, having spent many years as an investment funds lawyer in London. James has worked with private capital sponsors and limited partners focused on environmental, health care, software, farming, and real estate investment strategies.
Before joining Jones Day in 2025, James advised on the establishment of many large and successful private equity funds globally.
