Liz Yaeger represents private equity firms, lenders, real estate funds, and data infrastructure owners/operators in domestic and international real estate and digital infrastructure transactions involving real estate asset acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financings, data center leases, colocation agreements, and telecommunication master service agreements.
Liz also advises clients on affordable housing, including the tax credit syndications of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and financings involving tax-exempt and taxable bond financings for the development, operation, and maintenance of affordable multifamily properties.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Liz counseled a global data center developer/operator in leases and master service agreements for hundreds of megawatts of power in data centers throughout the United States. She also represented a developer of distinctive real estate properties with refinancing the construction loan used to develop a complex in Manhattan, which comprised of three separate condominium regimes. The project contained over 1,200 residential units (240+ reserved for low-income individuals and families), plus ancillary parking facilities and a large retail eatery.
She also represented one of the world's largest vacation ownership companies, and its affiliates, in the closing of its initial public offering of more than 17 million shares of common stock; the financial services unit of an American conglomerate in a multimillion dollar mortgage loan to refinance the construction loan for a Houston hotel in a historic building and with a multimillion dollar mortgage loan assumption relating to 21 golf properties across the country; and a multifaceted real estate company serving the greater New York area in closing a financing transaction for the acquisition and rehabilitation of multifamily rental properties containing 100% affordable housing in the Bronx.
