Jones Day partner Kate Wallace named among "Top Women of Law" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly has recognized partner Kate Wallace by including her in its list of "Top Women of Law" for 2023. The list honors "individuals who have made significant contributions to the legal profession while also serving as role models for young women entering the law."
Ms. Wallace, who is based in the Boston Office and a member of the Business & Tort Litigation Practice, is a trial lawyer with experience in a broad range of complex commercial matters, with an emphasis on antitrust and unfair competition litigation. She represents companies in class actions and in complex civil litigation through trial, in both state and federal courts. Widely known for successfully representing the Boston Red Sox in the first-ever "foul ball" trial in Massachusetts, Ms. Wallace, a Boston native, has secured five defense verdicts since coming to Boston from the Firm's Los Angeles Office seven years ago.
Ms. Wallace maintains an active pro bono practice that includes serving as pro bono partner in the Boston Office and supervising associates on related matters. She serves on the board of Greater Boston Legal Services and Prosperity Catalyst, an organization that launches and incubates women-led businesses in distressed regions. Ms. Wallace has been recognized as a "Winning Litigator" by the National Law Journal, a BTI Consulting "Client Service All-Star" (MVP, two years), and among "500 Leading Litigators" by Lawdragon.
"Top Women of Law" honorees were selected by a panel composed of members of the legal community and representatives of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
