Jones Day wins Pennsylvania Litigation Department of the Year and Best Law Firm Mentor Awards
Jones Day was named by ALM/Law.com as the top Litigation Department, and Mike Ginsberg, a partner in the Insurance Recovery Practice in the Pittsburgh Office, was named Best Law Firm Mentor in the 2024 Pennsylvania Legal Awards.

"From successfully representing an iconic century-old steel producer to victories on behalf of prominent banks, tech companies, service providers, and manufacturers, our Pittsburgh-based litigators fought and won in courts in Pennsylvania and beyond—across federal, state and cross-border venues."
The Firm was also a finalist for the fourth-consecutive year for Law Firm of the Year—it won that top distinction in 2021—and was also a finalist in the ESG Impact and Most-Effective Dealmaker categories.
On being named Best Law Firm Mentor, Mr. Ginsberg said, "After serving as Firm Training Partner and Chair of the Firm's Associate Training Committee for almost 30 years, and through my work with Jones Day's Laredo Project—a program providing migrants legal representation at the U.S.-Mexico border—my work coaching trial teams in advance of immigration hearings continues to advance the cause of our clients."
Mr. Ginsberg has served on the Board of Trustees of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy for more than 20 years and serves as the Program Director for NITA's Pittsburgh and North Carolina Trial Programs. He serves as the Director of Emory Law School's Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques, the largest trial advocacy program in the country. He has also traveled to Kenya seven times to teach trial skills to Kenyan lawyers in connection with NITA and Lawyers Without Borders.
