Jones Day welcomes Parveet Singh Gandoak in Singapore as partner in Corporate Practice

Parveet Singh Gandoak will join Jones Day as a partner in the Corporate Practice. He will be based in the Firm's Singapore Office.

Mr. Gandoak has almost two decades of experience serving as a trusted advisor to private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, and corporations in a wide range of high-stakes corporate transactions. He has worked on both public and private M&A deals, joint ventures, minority and control investments, secondary transactions, exits, and restructurings. His legal career has included assignments in New York, Hong Kong, London, and Singapore, and he has cultivated particular experience steering clients through complex, cross-border transactions in Asia-Pacific, the United States, and Europe.

At Jones Day, Mr. Gandoak joins the Firm's global Corporate Practice, which encompasses more than 300 M&A and Private Equity lawyers across five continents. The Firm consistently ranks among the top law firms in private equity and M&A deals in published league tables, advising clients on transactions ranging from mergers of equals, public and private M&A, and buyouts, to carve-outs, spinoffs, and joint ventures. In addition, Jones Day is one of a few international law firms to hold a Qualifying Foreign Law Practice license to practice Singapore law in permitted areas, allowing the Firm to offer clients both local and international advice increasingly required by complex cross-border transactions.

Mr. Gandoak has extensive experience spanning diverse industries, including renewable energy, infrastructure, digital communications, technology, media, telecom, insurance, real estate, health care, transportation, manufacturing, and retail. He is also experienced in advising both U.S. and non-U.S. issuers in capital markets offerings, private placements, and Regulation S offerings. Mr. Gandoak has worked on numerous Indian transactions and repeatedly been named to the International A-List of the top 100 India-focused lawyers by the Indian Business Law Journal (IBLJ). This year, IBLJ ranked Jones Day on its "Top 15 Foreign Firms" list for 2024, marking the 16th consecutive year that the Firm has been included.

He earned an LL.M. law degree from Cornell Law School and an LL.B law degree from ILS Law College in Pune, India.
