Jones Day welcomes Christine Borries and Friederike Nolde to Business Restructuring & Reorganization Practice in Munich

Christine Borries and Friederike Nolde have joined the Firm as European Counsel in the Business Restructuring & Reorganization Practice, resident in the Munich Office. They join Alexander Ballmann and Anna Bretting, who came to the Firm in 2023.

Ms. Borries has more than 12 years of experience in German insolvency law and focuses her practice in insolvency-related recovery claims. She advises German and international companies in various business sectors on insolvency and restructuring matters (including StaRUG and insolvency plan proceedings) and the intersection with corporate and finance law. She focuses on providing support in crisis situations, particularly in connection with cross-border restructurings. She has considerable experience dealing with insolvency-avoidance issues and crisis-related liability claims.

Ms. Nolde represents German and international clients in a wide range of complex disputes across a broad spectrum of industries, including banking and finance and the automotive sector. She also has extensive experience in compliance cases, in particular in conducting national and international internal investigations. Her experience includes spending two years as in-house counsel in charge of internal investigations at a major automotive company.
