Boston Market negotiates settlement in putative class action alleging wage and hour violations

Client(s) Boston Market Restaurants

Jones Day represented Boston Market Restaurants in a putative class action involving all restaurant workers classified as exempt, for alleged failure to pay overtime, to permit meal and rest breaks, unpaid off-the-clock work, and unpaid waiting time penalties. Jones Day obtained a mutual class-wide settlement after prevailing at related individual-plaintiff DLSE exemption hearing in San Diego, CA.
