GM prevails in action against motor vehicle dealers seeking to enjoin re-establishment of dealership operations in Wisconsin
Client(s) General Motors Company
Jones Day successfully represented General Motors LLC against two new motor vehicle dealers in Wisconsin. After the dealers filed state proceedings seeking to enjoin the proposed re-establishment of dealership operations in Wisconsin, Jones Day removed the action to the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin and then filed a motion to dismiss or, in the alternative, transfer the matter to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. After subsequent proceedings, the plaintiffs agreed to dismiss their claims.
