PolyOne acquires Spartech for $393 million

Jones Day advised PolyOne Corporation, a premier global provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, in its acquisition of Spartech, a leading producer of plastic sheet, compounds and packaging solutions, for $393 million. Spartech stockholders received $2.67 in cash and 0.3167 shares of PolyOne common stock for each share of Spartech common stock.

In addition to M&A representation, Jones Day provided antitrust, banking, employee benefits, and environmental law advice regarding this transaction.
