GM successfully resolves litigation over allegations of fraud and breach of contract by Chevrolet dealer
Client(s) General Motors Company
Jones Day successfully represented General Motors LLC ("GM") in litigation filed in federal and state court involving allegations of fraud and breach of contract by a Chevrolet dealer. GM sought preliminary and permanent injunctive relief and damages in connection with its claims. After substantial discovery was taken, GM filed a motion for summary judgment on its claims and the dealer's counterclaims. After briefing by the parties, the court granted summary judgment in favor of GM on its breach of contract claims and found that GM was entitled to enforce its option rights under the terms of the parties' agreements. The parties settled their remaining disputes.
