Mother obtains Orders of Protection for herself and her children, full custody of her children, and child support order above state standards

A Jones Day team assisted a mother with filing a Family Offense Petition and obtained final Orders of Protection against her abusive husband in favor of the mother and her four, young children. Additionally, after going to trial, the team successfully obtained full legal and residential custody of the subject children. Finally, because the mother's husband had been removed from the home following a prior incident of domestic violence, the team filed an action for child support and was able to obtain a monetary support order in excess of those required by state law.
