Procter & Gamble purchases steam from Constellation Energy to power one of P&G’s largest U.S. manufacturing facilities

Jones Day represented The Procter & Gamble Company ("P&G") in an agreement with Constellation Energy to purchase steam for a 20-year term from a 50 MW biomass plant that will be one of the largest biomass renewable energy plants in the U.S. The steam will be used to run one of P&G’s largest U.S. manufacturing facilities and will help move the company closer to its 2020 goal of obtaining 30 percent of its total energy from renewable sources. The biomass plant will also be used to generate electricity for the local utility, Georgia Power.
