Sanofi sells infectious disease unit to Evotec

Jones Day advised Sanofi in the sale of its infectious disease unit to Evotec AG. Pursuant to the transaction agreement signed among Sanofi, Sanofi Recherche et Développement, and Evotec AG, Evotec AG will also license-in the majority of Sanofi's infectious disease research portfolio and initiatives. This successfully seals the exclusive negotiations between the two companies and completion of the required social process, initiated on March 8, 2018.
