Jones Day advised October S.A. in connection with the structuring of October SME IV, a French fund dedicated to the financing of SMEs based in France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany through direct loans ranging from €30,000 to €5 million originated by the October platform. This is the first direct lending fund established in the form of a French “société de financement spécialisé” since the entry into force in November 2018 of the decrees implementing the Ordinance No. 2017-1432 of October 4, 2017 and licensed by the Autorité des marchés financiers as "European Long Term Investment Fund" (ELTIF) under the conditions laid down in the Regulation (EU) 2015/760 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2015 on European long-term investment funds.
