Jones Day represented the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, California Grocers Association, Bay Area Council, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, and the Valley Industry Commerce Association as amici curiae, in support of Instacart. The Firm filed the brief in the Fourth District of the California State Court of Appeals, arguing that online platform companies, such as Instacart, should be allowed to classify the service providers who use its platform as independent contractors.
