Jones Day represented a pharmaceutical manufacturer as a defendant in a False Claims Act case alleging off-label marketing, among other things. The government investigated and declined to intervene, after which the complaint was unsealed. On behalf of the pharmaceutical manufacturer, Jones Day successfully defended the allegations and the relators' claims were dismissed.
