Jones Day represented BNP Paribas Personal Finance Belgium ("BNPPPFB") in the second phase of integration of its Belgian consumer credit subsidiaries, and in particular the merger of Fidexis, the Belgian consumer credit institution, into BNPPPFB.

Following the acquisition in the first half of 2008 of UCBel, the Belgian branch of the French bank Union de Crédit pour le Batiment, specialized in mortgage-based loans, the Brussels office continued to represent this subsidiary of the BNP group, a recently developed relationship, in the second phase of the integration of its Belgian consumer credit subsidiaries, and in particular the merger of Fidexis, the Belgian consumer credit institution, into BNPPPFB . (In Q1 2010, BNPPPFB was sold by the BNP Group to Apax Partners as part of a EU-mandated divestiture following its acquisition of Fortis.)
