Engin Akerdem joined our New Lawyers Group (NLG) in 2024. The NLG provides our newest lawyers with the opportunity to gain exposure to different practice areas and lawyering styles before making a commitment to a specific practice. Individuals in the NLG may focus on a particular area of practice, or compare practices, during their first year with Jones Day. Engin will be focusing on real estate law and M&A while also supporting the litigation practice.

While earning his second state exam, Engin completed his legal clerkship in the Firm's Frankfurt Office. Prior to joining Jones Day, Engin worked for more than four years for several national and international law firms as a legal researcher, where he gained experience in the areas of real estate, corporate law, and litigation.
