Michael Earley is co-leader of Private Equity for the Firm's Corporate Practice. For more than 20 years, he has advised fund sponsors, institutional investors, and investment advisors around the globe on a broad range of matters across multiple asset classes, including buyout, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and venture capital. Michael provides strategic advice to private fund sponsors on their internal structuring, governance, and compensation matters. He also has experience working on M&A transactions involving the sale and minority investments in fund management businesses for sponsors and institutional investors. Michael's work with institutional investors includes work on primary investments, co-investments, direct investments, and secondary transactions.
In addition to his work on private funds, Michael also advises secondaries firms and investors on complex secondaries transactions on a cross-border basis. These include pooled sales of fund interests, stapled transactions, and GP-led (general partner) secondary deals.
In the community, Michael serves as a director of the Western Golf Association Evans Scholars Foundation and a member of board of the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund.
