Shali Goyal focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters involving accounting and internal controls, antitrust, deceptive trade practices, and contract disputes. Before pursuing a career in law, Shali worked as an audit associate at PwC. Using her accounting and auditing skills, Shali has represented clients in the finance, energy, and construction industries.
Recently, Shali represented a global pharmaceutical manufacturer in a fraud and antitrust matter in all phases of litigation, including trial. She has also defended a large public utility in proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Department of Justice (DOJ) and has experience with government and internal corporate investigations. She was part of a team that obtained summary judgment for the nation's largest vehicle glass repair company on Lanham Act false advertising claims. Shali also helped secure dismissals on behalf of Marathon Petroleum Corporation, Marathon Petroleum Company, and Speedway in an antitrust lawsuit brought by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Shali maintains an active pro bono practice and is a member of a trial team working to obtain political asylum for individuals in the United States.
Shali serves as past president and is a board member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Central Ohio. She also sits on the Columbus Office's Diversity, Inclusion and Advancement Committee.
