Matt Krsacok focuses his practice on appellate advocacy, critical motions practice, and providing strategic advice to clients facing complex legal challenges. He has drafted briefs in six federal courts of appeals and in various state and federal trial courts on a variety of topics, including constitutional, administrative, and anti-SLAPP (strategic lawsuits against public participation) laws.
Matt maintains an active pro bono practice. Recently, he represented a habeas petitioner in a successful Seventh Circuit appeal resulting in a full reversal of the district court's decision on a statutory issue.
Before joining Jones Day, Matt served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Chad A. Readler on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
