Isaac G.Lara

Isaac Lara's practice focuses on privacy, cybersecurity, data breaches, and emerging technology matters. He advises clients on a wide range of cyber incident response issues, including breach preparedness, insider data theft, third-party risk assessments, threat actor negotiations, data restoration, system recovery, FBI consultations, and U.S. and international data notification obligations.

Fluent in Spanish, Isaac also has experience conducting internal investigations for Latin American clients related to whistleblower complaints, as well as investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and other regulatory and governmental authorities. In addition, he has conducted internal investigations related to ransomware attacks from overseas hackers.

Isaac maintains an active pro bono practice. Most recently, he successfully represented a large Upper East Side church before the New York Supreme Court, obtaining dismissal of a high-profile administrative proceeding; the case had previously received significant press attention. Isaac has also successfully represented clients from Central American countries seeking asylum in the United States.
