Shane Padilla practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent litigation. He has worked on matters for clients in district court and has experience in fact investigation, discovery, pretrial proceedings, motion drafting, and trial preparation. In 2024, Shane was part of a team that succeeded at trial in a patent infringement proceeding representing a brand name pharmaceutical company.
Shane maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting with the Firm's Border Project and volunteering with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program's domestic violence clinic. In addition to providing general assistance to asylum seekers and victims of domestic violence, Shane has been part of a trial team for a client requesting relief under the Convention Against Torture and will be representing a victim of domestic violence in an evidentiary hearing to secure a permanent restraining order on their behalf.
