Yuri Wehrmeijer is an experienced litigator who advises and represents clients around the globe in disputes in courts and in arbitration involving corporate and commercial law issues, professional liability, cross-border liability, and class actions. Yuri has particular experience in injunctions, as well as in asset tracing and asset seizing. He also has five years litigation experience before the Dutch Supreme Court.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Yuri was invited to support the Dutch Parliament on the new Dutch Pension Scheme based on his in-depth experience involving a more than €1.5 billion pension asset transfer litigation before the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Appeal Court.

Yuri has experience in a variety of industries including industrials, energy, TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications), health and life sciences, real estate, financial services, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Yuri has represented an Asia-based state-owned energy company in a multijurisdictional joint venture dispute; Intel following its US$15 billion public takeover of Mobileye in squeeze out proceedings of minority shareholders; a U.S.-listed industrial company against one of its suppliers in a multimillion dispute regarding a Dutch-based EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) warehouse; and a Euronext Amsterdam-listed Dutch insurance company in a class action on unit-linked insurance policies. He also advised a European state-owned fund in a €1+ billion deal regarding one of the largest European offshore wind parks.

Yuri teaches the post-doctoral program on Dutch procedural law at Leiden University and is a lecturer on corporate litigation at The Law Firm School. He is a member of the Dutch Corporate Litigation Association, Dutch Association for Procedural Law, and Dutch Association for Civil Law.
