Jones Day names seven winners of its 2023 International Legal Fellowship Award in China
Seven outstanding law students from top universities in China were chosen as recipients of the 2023 Jones Day International Legal Fellowship Award.
Launched in 2001, the annual Legal Fellowship was created to support students in the pursuit of their legal education and experience as part of the Firm's commitment to advancing the rule of law. The winners were selected from a pool of hundreds of applications and are students at East China University of Political Science and Law, Fudan University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Hong Kong University.
"We are very honored to participate in the establishment of the rule of law in China, and to make our contribution to the discovery and cultivation of outstanding international legal talent here," said Angel Huang, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Mainland China Offices. "This year, the Jones Day International Legal Fellowship program adopted a novel selection approach that included a comprehensive review of the applicants' insights, their analyses of major global legal events, and their overall legal talents. We congratulate these outstanding students."
This year's winners are:

- Yuxin Li – Tsinghua University
- Yujin Lu – Peking University
- Runhe Sha – East China University of Political Science and Law
- Yueyi Teng – East China University of Political Science and Law
- Wai Cheuk Wong – Hong Kong University
- Jianing Xu – Fudan University

The Jones Day International Legal Fellowship Award program is open to undergraduates in their third year or above and to graduates majoring in law at China universities. Since the program's inception, the Fellowship has rewarded hundreds of outstanding law students from more than ten universities in China.
