Jones Day's David Kiernan named "Leading National Litigator" by The Daily Journal
Jones Day's Partner-in-Charge of Northern California and accomplished trial lawyer David Kiernan was named to The Daily Journal's list of the "Leading National Litigators" who are prominent commercial litigators handling the most consequential cases in California.
His selection was based on several recent high-profile representations involving some of the most recognizable global companies. These representations include serving as lead counsel for Labcorp in obtaining a permanent injunction against the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) enjoining it from enforcing regulations that would have prevented pregnant women from obtaining cfDNA prenatal screening from laboratories that did not contract with the state; the outcome protected a woman's right to choose her preferred medical-testing provider. He was also lead trial counsel for Alphabet and Google in a putative antitrust class action filed by website developers challenging Google's license restrictions for developers related to the use of Google digital-mapping products. The court granted Google's motion to dismiss the third complaint with prejudice.
Mr. Kiernan is ranked by Chambers, and in 2024 Forbes named him to the America's Top 200 Lawyers list.
