Tech Mahindra acquires Satyam for $600 million

Jones Day represented Tech Mahindra Limited, a leading provider of solutions and services to the telecommunications industry, in its acquisition of Satyam Computer Services, Ltd. The transaction value was U.S. $600 million.

Tech Mahindra won the bid for Satyam in a closely watched auction process initiated by the Indian Government after it took control of Satyam in January 2009. Satyam's new Board selected Tech Mahindra through a structured, transparent bidding process initiated in March 2009. The deal closed in July 2009.
