Jones Day represented a U.S. manufacturer and distributor of remote controls in complex multi-arbitration proceedings against a Chinese manufacturer of alkaline batteries for the loss and damage caused by defective products. The seat of the arbitration was in Hong Kong under the Administered Rules of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). The dispute also involved proceedings before the Mainland Chinese courts commenced by the Chinese manufacturer.
