Banco Santander (Spain), Caixabank, and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (Spain) provide €193.3 million subordinated loan to Abent 3T for development of cogeneration plant in Mexico

Jones Day represented Banco Santander (Spain), Caixabank, and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (Spain) in granting a subordinated loan to Abent 3T, S.A.P.I. de C.V., in Mexican pesos equivalent to €193.3 million granted for the development of a 220 MW cogeneration plant located in the state of Tabasco, Mexico.

The loan is subordinated to the previous project finance granted by Banco Santander (Spain) for the equivalent in Pesos of US$411 million, where the Jones Day Mexico team also represented Banco Santander.
