Jones Day advised JFE Steel Corporation on the acquisition by its subsidiary JFE Steel Australia Resources of a 10% interest in the Blackwater coal mine owned by Whitehaven Coal Limited, an Australian supplier of coking coal, along with a long-term offtake agreement for coal supply from the mine.
