OGE Energy obtains FERC authorization for incentive rate treatment for each of its seven transmission projects
Client(s) OGE Energy Corp.
Jones Day obtained FERC authorization for transmission rate incentives for each of seven transmission projects to be constructed by OG&E within the SPP region at projected cost of over $900 million. FERC's orders, which approved 100 percent CWIP recovery in rate base and authorized full cost recovery in the event that one or more of the projects was subsequently canceled or abandoned for reasons beyond OG&E's control, included the first successful request for such incentives by a utility pursuant to FERC's revised standards applicable to a group of transmission projects.
