Safeguard Properties acquires Bank of America's field servicing business

Jones Day advised Safeguard Properties LLC in the acquisition of the mortgage field servicing business of Bank of America. In connection with this purchase, Safeguard entered into a 10 year exclusive agreement to provide mortgage field services to Bank of America.

Safeguard Properties is the largest privately held mortgage field services company in the country. Safeguard inspects and maintains defaulted and foreclosed properties for a wide range of clients in the mortgage industry, from local loan servicing companies to national publicly traded mortgage servicing corporations.

In addition to M&A representation, Jones Day provided antitrust, employee benefits, environmental, real estate, and tax advice regarding this transaction.
