Atlas Resource Partners acquires DTE Gas Resources for $255 million

Jones Day advised Atlas Resource Partners, L.P. in its acquisition of DTE Gas Resources, LLC, an affiliate of DTE Energy Company, for $255 million.  DTE owned approximately 35 MMboe of proved reserves and substantial resource potential in the Fort Worth basin in Texas. This transaction completes the divestiture by DTE of all its remaining exploration and production assets, and marks a milestone for Atlas following a series of transactions through which it has acquired substantial producing and proved acreage in the Barnett and Marble Falls areas.
