Dignity Health wins dismissal of 32 cases

Jones Day secured the dismissal of 32 separate cases brought against Dignity Health's St. Bernardine hospital over spinal implants. The court largely adopted the arguments advanced in Dignity's briefing that its hospital had no connection with the patients who were named as plaintiffs, given that they were all treated at other hospitals, and there was no basis to include St. Bernardine as an aider and abettor or on a conspiracy theory.
