Experian obtains complete summary judgment victory in FCRA litigation
Client(s) Experian Information Solutions, Inc.
Jones Day client Experian Information Solutions, Inc. obtained summary judgment on all claims brought against it by a consumer alleging that Experian had inaccurately reported information on his consumer disclosures. The plaintiff alleged that Experian had negligently and willfully violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Experian successfully argued in its motion for summary judgment that the plaintiff had conceded in his discovery responses that Experian's reporting of his consumer accounts were accurate, and that the plaintiff had wholly failed to produce any evidence or testimony supporting his claims of inaccuracy.
