Ann Hollenbeck named Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Detroit Office
Ann Hollenbeck has been appointed Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Detroit Office.
Ms. Hollenbeck, a partner in the Firm's Health Care & Life Sciences Practice, joined Jones Day in 2017. She has an accomplished legal career in Michigan, representing a number of clients in the health care industry and serving formerly as Assistant General Counsel at the University of Michigan's Health System Legal Office. Ms. Hollenbeck also has a long history of non-profit community service and leadership at organizations such as Gift of Life Michigan, the state's organ transplant procurement organization. She was recognized by The American Lawyer as a "Midwest Trailblazer" in 2021.
Ms. Hollenbeck succeeds Timothy Melton, who served as Partner-in-Charge of the Detroit Office since its inception in 2015. Mr. Melton will continue to serve Jones Day clients as a Detroit-based partner in the Firm's Financial Markets Practice.

The Firm also announced the appointment of Louis Gabel as Administrative Partner of the Detroit Office, succeeding Ms. Hollenbeck. Mr. Gabel, a partner in the Business & Tort Litigation Practice, is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Michigan, where he prosecuted a broad range of criminal cases. Since joining the Detroit Office shortly after its opening, Mr. Gabel has represented clients in the automotive, higher education, and health care industries.
