Deutsche Bank defends European Commission antitrust investigation into Credit Derivative Swaps (CDS)

Jones Day represented Deutsche Bank AG in connection with two investigations by the European Commission (EC) into alleged anti-competitive agreements and/or abuse of dominance in relation to Credit Derivative Swaps (CDS). In the first case, the Commission investigated several investment banks and financial information services provider Markit Group in relation to financial information on CDS. In the second case, the Commission investigated investment banks and derivatives clearinghouse ICE Clear Europe in relation to the tariffs granted by ICE to certain investments.
