Intersil resolves Section 337 action involving integrated circuit technology
Client(s) Intersil Corporation
Jones Day defended Intersil Corporation and related affiliates Techwell, Inc. and Zilker Labs in a Section 337 action before the ITC relating to six patents for integrated circuit technology. Microchip Technology, Inc. accused Intersil of infringement and sought a limited exclusion order barring the accused Intersil products from entry into the United States. Intersil denied infringement and maintained that the asserted patents were invalid. After Intersil filed motions for partial summary determination that two asserted patents were invalid, the parties reached a settlement and the investigation was terminated.
