Mag Instrument successfully challenges use of infringing domain name in UDRP proceeding

Jones Day successfully represented Mag Instrument, Inc. in a domain name dispute under the UDRP before the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center in connection with the infringing domain name maglite.me. The WIPO administrative panel overseeing the case ordered the disputed domain name transferred to Mag Instrument. The Panel found that the Respondent had no rights or legitimate interests in the disputed domain name, that Mag Instrument's MAGLITE mark was highly distinctive, and the Respondent knew of the MAGLITE mark when he registered the domain name.
